Power Points

Call: 1300 577 017

If you’re wiring a commercial or domestic property, it’s crucial to think about the type of power points you will use and where you will place them. Power points are another high use electrical item, particularly for commercial properties, such as offices. Even in the home, however, power points are used more than ever to supply electricity to appliances and to charge various devices.

Most properties use a 240 volt supply of electricity from the mains. This is converted into DC (direct current) for use in small electrical devices, and AC (alternating current) that is most commonly used for larger appliances such as refrigerators and washing machines. Your power points need to be correctly installed to handle these types of current safely.

Furthermore, your power points need to be effectively located within your property for the most effective access. In an office, for instance, it’s a good idea to have floor sockets and boxes so that PCs and printers can be plugged into the mains efficiently. In the home, it makes no sense to locate power points in places that will be out of reach for convenient charging.

Bayside Electricians Carda Electrics will assess your commercial or domestic property and offer suggestions as to the most appropriate power points for your needs. We also provide a range of designs to suit different property styles.
